The median sales price for the 305 homes sold in Perinton (including the village of Fairport) during the first six months of the year was $135,000—some 11 percent higher than the corresponding figure a year ago—according to housing market statistics published by the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors on July 27. The increase for Perinton was the highest among the six Rochester-area towns with the largest number of closed sales year-to-date through June. Median prices in Irondequoit and Webster rose by 5.5 percent, while prices in Penfield nudged upward by 0.3 percent. The year-over-year increase for Monroe County was 4.7 percent, according to the GRAR report.
