The Genesee Brew House has released “the Grüngeist Pale Ale” as the latest installment of its Pilot Batch series.
“We wanted to offer a crisp, clean beer with the fresh, juicy flavor and aroma profile everyone loves in hoppy craft beers,” said Dean Jones, brewmaster at Genesee, in a statement. “Our Pilot Batch series is all about innovating classic styles in unexpected ways, and this beer is a truly unique offering that will surprise Genesee fans and craft beer drinkers alike.”
Grüngeist means Green Ghost in German. The new brew was created in partnership with Michigan-based Hop Head Farms LLC. The beer’s Grüngeist hop was imported from Germany.
“We were thrilled to partner with Genesee Brew House for the creation of the Grüngeist Pale Ale,” said Jim Passios, chief operating officer of Hop Head Farms. “Dean’s creative exploration of innovative brews with the Pilot Batch series drew us to bring this unique hop to Genesee.”
