Area colleges named to Money magazine list

Ten area colleges were named to Money magazine’s list of “711 Best Colleges For Your Money.”

The University of Rochester was No. 72;  SUNY College at Brockport, No. 93; Hobart and William Smith Colleges, No. 172; SUNY at Geneseo, No. 181; SUNY College of Technology at Alfred, No. 200; St. John Fisher College and Rochester Institute of Technology tied—along with Concordia University in St. Paul, Minn.—for No. 268; Nazareth College, No. 462; Roberts Wesleyan College, No. 473; and Keuka College, No. 528.

Princeton University earned the top spot with CUNY Bernard M Baruch College, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, University of California-Berkeley, UCLA and Stanford University rounding out the top five slots.

The final 711 schools were selected from 2,400 colleges nationwide.
