Perinton company adds board member

Perinton company Manning & Napier Inc. this week added a new board member.

The company on Wednesday appointed Kenneth Marvald to fill a position on the board, effective immediately, the company said Thursday. He replaces Richard Barrington who resigned from the board March 28, effective upon the appointment of his replacement.

Marvald has spent over 30 years in financial services law across the corporate finance, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and tax sectors. For the past 22 years, he has worked at Graywood Companies Inc., a global equity firm consisting of over 50 domestic and international operating companies across various sectors, where he oversees all legal affairs as vice president and general counsel.

He serves on several boards, including the Excellus Rochester Regional Board. Marvald will serve on the nominating and corporate governance, compensation and audit committees, the company said.
