Conduent to move employees to Medley Centre complex

Conduent Inc. will locate to the former Macy’s building at the Medley Centre complex in Irondequoit, moving its operations there from Webster.

The deal will shift 350 call center employees from Webster to the Medley Centre and will create an additional 400 jobs, according to Rochester Business Journal news partner WHEC-TV 10.
The property is owned by Flaum Management Co. Inc. A Flaum official said the call center and its employees will move there in the fall.

Conduent was created at the end of last year when Xerox Corp. split into two publicly traded companies. It is a business process service company.

“Conduent’s decision to grow jobs and investment in Irondequoit is a strong vote of confidence in our local economy and workforce,” state Sen. Rich Funke, R-Perinton, said in a statement.
