WHAM-TV (13WHAM ABC) is the top choice for local viewers, according to a recent survey by The Nielsen Company.
The station swept the local TV news ratings in every part of the day—divided into mornings, early evenings and late night.
“While having assembled the most experienced team of local news professional in our community, we never take viewer loyalty for granted,” said Chuck Samuels, WHAM general manager in a statement. “Our team works very hard to achieve the highest quality standards for each broadcast, and it’s gratifying to have those efforts rewarded.”
WHAM viewership across mornings, early evenings and late night included adult viewers age 25 to 54—the demographic profile most relevant to advertisers, according to the station.
WHAM’s flagship 6 p.m. news remains the most watched local news broadcast in Rochester, according to Nielsen.
13WHAM News at 6:00 achieved an 11 rating and 26 share among total households last month, according to Nielsen. WROC logged a 6 rating and 15 share during that same period, and WHEC received a 6 rating and 14 share, the survey showed.
