Three area colleges and universities have been named to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs list of U.S. colleges and universities that produced the most 2016-17 Fulbright students.
The Fulbright program provides merit-based grants to students for international educational exchange opportunities in individually designed study and research projects.
Top producing institutions are featured in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
The University of Rochester, listed among research institutions, placed with 10 Fulbright students.
In the master’s institutions category, Nazareth College placed with three Fulbright students and in the bachelor’s institutions category, Hobart and William Smith Colleges placed with six Fulbright students.
