Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley

Dec. 1: At the Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley 2016 Grant Awards Luncheon at Temple B’rith Kodesh, $100,000 in grants were given out to programs that support women and girls in the community related to economic self-sufficiency. The event was attended by 200 people.

Illumination of Love

Dec. 4: The annual holiday lighting event is held at St. John’s Home every year. Each individual light throughout the courtyard is available for dedication to honor or remember someone special. Funds generated through the St. John’s Foundation for Illumination of Love provide elders with special extras throughout the year. This year, $4,500 was raised to fund summer concerts, beauty shop visits, wheelchair repairs, and much more.
