COMIDA OKs breaks for $3.3 million bowling center

Radio Social LLC was approved for tax breaks by the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency Tuesday for its new $3.3 million bowling center in the city.

Radio Social received approval for $24,000 in sales tax breaks on $300,000 worth of equipment purchases.

The entity, which is the owner of the former Clover Lanes, is proposing the venue in the North Winton Village neighborhood that is to include a 34-lane bowling venue, along with darts, shuffle board, bocce, ping-pong and food and beverage offerings. It also is to have an outdoor lawn area.

The project is expected to create 13 jobs over the next three years and is expected to have state and regional benefits totaling $328,000.

COMIDA also approved a tax abatement and sales tax exemptions for a new building on Ridge Road in Webster to be leased to Palmer Graphic Solutions LLC, which does business as Vital Signs.

64 RR LLC, a real estate holding company, is proposing construction of an 11,500-square-foot building for Palmer Graphic, which has outgrown its current space. The financial assistance from COMIDA will allow the firm to keep 11 employees and create 2.5 jobs over the next three years.

COMIDA granted incentives totaling nearly $140,000 for the project through a property tax abatement for 64 RR and sales tax exemptions on $150,000 in equipment purchases for Palmer.

The project is expected to have state and regional benefits totaling $360,000.
