UR nursing school receives $1 million donation

An anonymous donor has made a $1 million gift to set up an endowed fund to support the University of Rochester’s nursing school.

Initiatives that the nursing school plans to fund with the endowment include new pilot projects, equipment purchases and bio-statistical analyses. The endowment could also be used to support collaborations between School of Nursing and UR School of Medicine and Dentistry researchers.

“We are immensely grateful for this donor’s generosity, which will have a lasting impact beyond our school and community,” nursing school Dean Kathy Rideout said.
