The state comptroller approved 1,352 contracts totaling $950 million in October, including $660,000 to the Pike Co. for design and construction services at the Rochester Amtrak train station.
Locally, another $2 million was approved for the Finger Lakes Systems Agency for a regional Population Health Improvement Program, and $20 million for the Wyoming County Community Hospital to consolidate services.
Cumulatively through October, the office of Thomas DiNapoli says it has approved 16,035 contracts valued at more than $38 billion and approved nearly 25.9 million payments worth nearly $109.4 billion.
As the state’s chief financial officer, DiNapoli’s office reviews contracts for all state agencies and certain state public authorities. He audits all state payments to ensure costs are reasonable and there are no improprieties or fraud involved.
