Sept. 17: Fairport Baptist Homes held its fourth annual 2016 Step Up For Seniors fundraising walk. The event raised more than $12,000 for seniors and their programs and services provided by Fairport Baptist Homes.

Iron Angel Memorial Foundation
Sept. 25: The Iron Angel 5K in Memory of Heather Boyum, presented by the Pittsford Moms In Motion, was attended by 400 people. The money raised will support the Heather Frazer Boyum Iron Angel Memorial Foundation, which provides emergency, medical and educational funds to those who have lost loved ones or face personal crises.

JCC of Greater Rochester
Sept. 23: More than 300 community dignitaries, leaders from the Rochester area, donors, staff, youth and members of the JCC of Greater Rochester gathered for the ribbon cutting and dedication of its highly anticipated renovation. The JCC will now be referred to as Louis S. Wolk JCC of Greater Rochester.
