Tully Rinckey PLLC has moved to new Rochester-area quarters in the Linden Oaks office park, officials of the law firm said Monday.
The move comes some three years after the Albany-based Tully Rinckey first opened a Rochester-area office.
To establish a beachhead in Rochester, the Albany firm employed an unusual tactic: sending out a mass mailing to local lawyers promising “fair compensation for the work they bring in as well as a better platform to grow their practice through the firm’s innovative and ethical marketing techniques.”
“Our strategy with this letter is shock and awe. We are looking to make an impression and impress the region’s best lawyers. A help wanted ad alone just won’t cut it,” founding Tully Rinckey partner Matthew Tully wrote in the 2012 letter.
Three years later, the firm lists six lawyers—five associates and Rochester office managing partner Peter Pullano—as staffing its Rochester-area office. Its new, roughly 4,600 square foot space will allow Tully Rinckey to employ up to 10 lawyers and three non-attorney staffers at the Linden Oaks location, officials said.
