Doyle Security Systems acquires Syracuse firm’s accounts

Doyle Security Systems Inc. has acquired Murphy’s Lock & Alarm Inc. ’s alarm accounts, marking the Henrietta-based company’s first Syracuse-area acquisition in a decade. 

Murphy’s will continue to operate its safe and lock business, officials said. Located in the suburb of Fayetteville, Murphy’s has been family owned and operated for nearly 40 years.

Doyle Security Systems specializes in security, life safety and medical monitoring systems for residential and commercial customers. The acquired accounts are 60 percent commercial and 40 percent residential, officials said.

“We are very honored to take on these new customers from Murphy’s Lock & Alarm,” said John Doyle Jr., CEO and president of Doyle Security Systems. “We are very excited to continue our long history of growth in Central New York.”

Doyle Security Systems employs 116 companywide, including roughly 75 at its headquarters. The company has offices in Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse and Erie, Pa.
