Xerox general counsel resigns, SEC filing shows

Don Liu, Xerox Corp.’s general counsel and secretary, has tendered his resignation, effective Aug. 5, a filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission shows.

Michael Peffer, Xerox’s associate general counsel, will serve as general counsel and secretary upon Liu’s resignation, the filing states.

Liu was appointed an executive vice president of Xerox in July 2014 and has been a corporate officer since joining the business in June 2007.

Prior to joining Xerox, Peffer served as deputy general counsel for Affiliated Computer Services Inc., which Xerox acquired in 2010. He also worked at Ashland Inc.

Liu had total compensation of $5.2 million in 2015, the only year provided in a filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission in April. Included in that was a base salary of $589,000, a $72,500 bonus and other compensation of $38,000.
