Wine educators group coming to the Finger Lakes region

The Society of Wine Educators brings one of its signature mini conferences to the Finger Lakes region on Thursday and Friday, Visit Rochester leaders have announced.

More than 50 wine and spirits enthusiasts will take part in the two-day professional development event to be held at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa in Perinton as well as various wineries across the region, including Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars in Hammondsport, Steuben County, and Glenora Wine Cellars in Dundee, Yates County, as well as the New York Wine & Culinary Center in Canandaigua, Ontario County.

Conference attendees coming from all over the country, but specifically the East Coast. During their stay, they will take part in educational seminars, private tours at top wineries and wine-pairing dinners.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Society of Wine Educators to Rochester and the Finger Lakes,” said Don Jeffries, president and CEO, Visit Rochester. “We look forward to introducing this group of wine professionals to the natural beauty as well as the unique wine and culinary experiences our region has to offer.”

The Finger Lakes wine region recently was ranked as the No. 1 wine region to visit by Thrillist.com.
