Truth Collective earns top Addy award

The 25th annual American Advertising Awards Awards, an event that recognizes local marketers and advertisers, honored more than 80 local professionals Friday. Truth Collective LLC won the top prize, the “Best of Show” award.

Truth Collective earned top honors for its work on the Filmworthy Campaign (B2B)/Kodak Motion Picture Film, officials said. Other winners at the event included Partners + Napier, Dixon Schwabl Inc., Cohber Inc., Meyers Creative Imaging and Optic Sky Productions.

The event was held at the Hyatt Regency Rochester and was put on by the Rochester Advertising Federation, an affiliate of the American Advertising Federation.

“Rochester’s creative advertising community continues to raise the bar, especially with this year’s record-breaking number of entries and level of creative talent,” said Rich Brainerd, RAF president, in a statement. “The Addy awards celebrate not only the winners, but the amazing and creative talent we have right here in the industry in Rochester.”

Thirteen student Addys awards were given to area college students. Rochester Institute of Technology students had a strong showing of awards, officials said.

The Silver Achievement Award was given to Frank Kopec, founder of the Rochester Advertising Federation. The award celebrates the individuals who have impacted Rochester’s advertising scene, officials said.
