Gilda’s Club Rochester
Nov. 21:  Gilda’s Club Rochester held its Heroes Ball: Celebrating the Power of Hope, Courage, and Commitment at the RIT Inn & Conference Center. About 300 people attended the event, which raised $125,000 to benefit the men, women, teens and kids of Gilda’s Club Rochester who are touched by cancer.

National Parkinson’s Foundation of Greater Rochester
Oct. 4: The fourth annual “Moving Day, A Walk for Parkinson’s” was held at the MCC Campus. More than 500 people participated in the walk and in the signature Movement Pavilion by taking part in stretching exercises, yoga, boxing and Zumba. A total of $89,000 was raised for cutting-edge research and local services and support programs for people with Parkinson’s.
