New York jobless rate shows significant decline

New York and most of its neighbors had statistically significant declines in unemployment rates between December 2014 and December 2015, according to the latest employment and unemployment summary report released Tuesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Vermont’s December 2015 rate of 3.6 percent is among the lowest in the nation; rates for New York and our other neighbors are not statistically different from the U.S. rate of 5 percent.
