Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester
Nov. 2:  A spirited crowd of 330 women attended the Main Event for Women of the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester. This was the silver anniversary of the event at which Rochester Jewish women express their passion and commitment to Jewish life through support of the Federation annual campaign. This year’s guest speaker was NPR journalist Susan Stamberg.


Nov. 14: The first Celebration of Champions event, an evening to benefit Starbridge, was held at Locust Hill Country Club with 300 guests enjoying music, a silent auction, and the presentation of Community Awards.  More than $26,000 was raised to support children and adults striving for success in school and employment.

Monroe Community College Foundation

Nov. 19: The Monroe Community College Foundation hosted its 26th annual Salute to Excellence, which raised $60,000 to support student success and program excellence at MCC. More than 400 guests celebrated the Salute to Excellence being awarded to the Greater Rochester Health Foundation and four outstanding inductions into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame.
