MCC Foundation to honor GRHF

Monroe Community College Foundation announced Thursday the Greater Rochester Health Foundation is its 2015 recipient of the Salute to Excellence award. 

MCC Foundation leaders commended GRHF for its efforts to improve the health of local residents through programs such as the Healthy Hero Summer Camp held at MCC. GRHF grants have made it possible for 450 Rochester city children to attend the camp since 2014, officials said.

MCC leaders also recognized four alumni for their leadership and community involvement. The following are being inducted into the MCC Hall of Fame:

  • Todd Baxter, Class of 2010, executive director, Veteran’s Outreach Center Inc.;
  • Stephen Pasquarella, Class of 1983, president, Vincent Associates;
  • JoAnne Ryan, Class of 1979, president and CEO, Volunteers of America of Upstate New York; and
  • Kimberley Willis, Class of 1990, college registrar, SUNY College at Geneseo.
