Interest in Auburn Creek runs high, meets need

Work is underway on a $25 million luxury apartment complex in Victor, Ontario County. Auburn Creek Apartments LLC, a joint venture between Morgan Management LLC and Stonehaven Commercial Inc., began renting units in the complex at the beginning of the year.

Interest is high at the 184-unit complex, the developers said, noting they are now renting eight completed buildings, with a waiting list for future buildings. The project is expected to feature 23 apartment buildings when finished, with a target date of late spring 2016. A clubhouse has been built as well.

Richard Kartes, Stonehaven’s president and owner, said Auburn Creek fills a need for luxury apartments in the marketplace.

“We are looking forward to continuing to offering our quality craftsmanship and the next level of apartment living in the Rochester market,” he said.

The developers selected Victor because of the growth there. The location—just past the intersection of routes 96 and 251, near the village of Victor and the Thruway, and adjacent to the nine-mile Auburn Trail—was also a draw.

The two- and three-bedroom units are 1,165 square feet to 1,422 square feet and range in price from $1,225 to $1,395 a month.

Each apartment comes with features typically found in a modern custom home, Kartes said, including stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, and a gas fireplace with tile surround. Other amenities include central air, cathedral ceilings, master suites with full bath and walk-in closet and a private entrance.

All residents will have access to the community center, fitness center, swimming pool, walking trails and Victor School District.

Stonehaven, located in Fairport, builds starter, patio and custom homes and completes renovations. The seven-employee firm is led by Kartes, a fourth-generation builder.

Morgan is a real estate ownership firm with residential and commercial properties across the nation. The company, based in Pittsford, employs around 500 workers.
