BioWorks upgrades manufacturing, laboratory space

Victor-based BioWorks Inc. has upgraded its manufacturing areas and laboratory space to increase safety, efficiency and employee engagement and satisfaction, the company said Tuesday.

The upgrades include sealed systems that will help to lower dust levels. The laboratory has finished its renovation that includes new equipment and a larger space.

All upgrades are expected to be completed this week. The firm employs 34 full- and part-time people with 28 based in Ontario County.

“BioWorks’ purpose is to create a safer environment,” President William Foster said in a statement. “One way we accomplish this is through the products we offer: environmentally responsible, safe and effective insect control, disease control and plant nutrition products. Another way we accomplish this is with an internal focus, making sure our team members work and thrive in the best space available.”
