I am a Rochester businessman engaged in the same activities that occupy all of our business hours. I strive to provide the best product and service possible. I struggle with maintaining margins and meeting the needs of my employees, all while doing my best to adhere to government mandates and regulations. I am, I feel, typical of your readership. That is why I am always so surprised at how contrary your Snap Poll results are to my own views. In addition, poll results appear to be astonishingly contrary to the views of the general population.
I would cite as an example the Snap Poll finding that 58 percent preferred Rob Astorino to Andrew Cuomo in the last election. Another Snap Poll found that 62 percent oppose the Safe Act. These two examples bear no resemblance to the results of elections or polls outside of Snap Poll respondents. The poll published Jan. 2 indicates that 87 percent disapprove of Mayor Lovely Warren’s performance. I know she has had some setbacks, but 87 percent disapprove? Are RBJ’s readers so much different than me and those outside your readership?
