The University of Rochester, the region’s No. 1 employer, also led the way over the past year in jobs added. Its staff grew by nearly 600 people. Second-ranked Rochester Regional Health System, recently formed by the merger of Rochester General Health System and Unity Health System, also was No. 2 in job growth.
