Competition for the 2014 RBJ Buzz Award begins at noon Friday and ends Feb. 28 at noon.
Voting takes place on RBJ’s Facebook page.
The award is part of the RBJ Best of the Web Awards and is given to the Rochester company that creates the most “buzz” around its presence in the community through its social media channels. These channels range from Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to Pinterest and Instagram.
Last year’s winner was Abbott’s Frozen Custard. The top three businesses—profit or non-profit—with the highest number of votes will be notified March 3. The winner will be announced at the RBJ Best of the Web Awards breakfast on March 13, at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.
RBJ Buzz Award rules and restrictions:
• Individuals are not eligible to win;
• Last year’s winner is not eligible to enter this year’s competition;
• RBJ will tabulate the votes and determine one winner; and
• RBJ has the final say on eligibility and the right to remove any ineligible posts at any time.
