Glass artist’s creation makes gifts for finalists

Each Athena finalist receives a signature art piece designed and created by glass artist Nancy Gong. Nancy has received worldwide acclaim for her architectural art glass designs-perhaps most often recognized in Rochester for her work on the ArtWalk bus shelter in front of Gleason Works, the windows at the Port of Rochester and the etched glass at Rochester Institute of Technology’s Administrative Services Building. Carved into hand-cast glass, the signature Athena icon honors the extraordinary women whose leadership and personal and professional contributions to the Greater Rochester community are unparalleled.
