Xerox Corp. said Friday Luca Maestri, executive vice president and chief financial officer, is leaving the company, effective Feb. 28, to become corporate controller at Apple Inc.
Maestri joined Xerox in February 2011. Prior to Xerox, he served as CFO and member of the executive board of Nokia Siemens Networks Nederland BV.
"Luca is a stellar finance executive whose contributions have brought great value to the transformation of Xerox into a services enterprise,” said Ursula Burns, Xerox chairman and CEO, in a statement. "He’s helped strengthen our financial foundation, which will serve his successor, our company and our shareholders well for the long term."
The company has initiated an external search for a new CFO, Burns noted. Maestri will help manage the financial leadership transition until she departs late next month.
The company remains on track to meet its fourth-quarter guidance of earnings per share of 24 to 26 cents and adjusted earnings per share of 28 to 30 cents, Burns said. Xerox is slated to announce its fourth-quarter and full-year results Jan. 24.
