Builders and contractors group joins Unshackle Upstate

The Empire State Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors Inc., whose 550 members employ thousands in the Rochester area and statewide, has joined the Unshackle Upstate coalition’s leadership team, representatives announced Friday.

“Our new partnership with ABC gives us the opportunity to spread our pro-jobs and pro-taxpayer message in new communities across the state,” said Brian Sampson, Unshackle’s Rochester-based executive director, in a statement.

“We stand ready with ABC to advance ideas that promote New York’s construction industry and energize our economy.”

Unshackle Upstate represents 70,000 business employing 1.5 million workers.
