Verizon Wireless workers to share $95 million

More than 83,000 Verizon Wireless Inc. workers, including some 1,400 at the company’s Henrietta facility, are sharing more than $95 million distributed as part of the company’s profit-sharing benefit.

The award, equal to 2.25 percent of the employee’s 2009 eligible pay, was deposited into the employees’ 401(k) accounts on March 11.

The size of this year’s award was based on the company’s performance in 2009, officials said.
