A shipping company co-founded by Thomas Golisano has completed a sale to U-Haul International, the company announced Wednesday.

Store to Door was founded in 1997 by the Paychex founder and chairman and partner Jim Wayman. Since that time it has served more than 15,000 customers, introducing products such as a one-way shipping container and junk removal business.

The company also pioneered the Mobile Self Storage Association, an organization intended to foster cooperation between independently owned and operated mobile storage businesses.

The price of the sale was not disclosed. It was completed earlier this year and includes Collegeboxes, a subsidiary of Store to Door. All Store to Door systems have been fully converted to the U-Haul/U-Box system.
