Redcom inks deal with Oregon firm

Redcom Laboratories Inc. has signed an agreement with Pacific Star Communications Inc. to  integrate and resell Redcom switching systems with Pacific Star’s PacStar mobile phone systems, Redcom officials said Monday.

The Portland, Ore.-based Pacific Star provides communications systems to government and military customers.

“We are excited to have PacStar serve as an integrator and reseller of Redcom’s HDX and SLICE (switching) systems,” said Dinah Gueldenpfennig, Redcom vice president of planning and government program administration, in a statement. “This agreement will greatly benefit military and government customers who are looking to converge their networks.”

A developer of compact, software-based telephone switching equipment, Redcom employs some 200 at its Victor manufacturing and research facility.
