Initiative to help minority contractors secure work
Rochester City Council member Adam McFadden has scheduled a news conference for noon Friday on the steps of City Hall to announce an initiative designed to give minority contractors and building trade businesses more equitable opportunities to secure work.
The initiative will investigate the plight and difficulties minority-owned businesses face in getting equitable contracts and terms, a statement issued Thursday through City Council said.
A hearing for minority contractors and building trades workers is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday in City Council chambers on the third floor.
