A Fairport man has been named to the underwriting committee of the New York Compensation Insurance Rating Board.
David Dickson is an appointee of the AFL-CIO of New York State Inc. for a two-year term on the committee, officials said. In the role, he will help determine appropriate rates for the state’s workers’ compensation market, administer the workers’ compensation classification system, assess carriers for implantation of appropriate rates and a number of other activities linked to the enforcement of workers’ compensation law.
Dickson has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance field. He served as president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. in 2006 and 2007, and is a member of Bailey, Haskell and LaLonde Inc., in Oneida.
