If interim Superintendent William Cala were among the finalists, who would you think is the best choice for Rochester city schools superintendent?
72% William Cala
15% Tim Mains
5% Jean-Claude Brizard
5% Ingrid Carney
2% Carlinda Purcell
What a lost opportunity if Mr. Cala is not the next city school district superintendent. Apparently, the district is not ready at this time for a change agent of Mr. Cala’s ability.
-Victor E. Salerno, CEO, O’Connell Electric Co.
Tim Mains has been dealing with district dysfunction long enough to have become an expert on how to tackle it.
-J.P. Gleason, principal, EDA/Gleason Fund Raising Consulting
As soon as you talk to Dr. Cala about education and children, his eyes light up. He is all about children. In doing what is best for the children, he would ruffle some feathers, but that is the price of progress, and a huge step toward improving the community on all levels. He would also need help and I believe people would come forward and support his leadership.
-Ron Gordon, Gordon & Associates
Of all the people, Tim Mains is the lesser evil. Of course, my opinion doesn’t matter anymore because I was so tired of the city school district and the politics in the city, I moved to Chili.
