Hahn Automotive Warehouse Inc., an automotive aftermarket parts distributor, has acquired Prime Automotive Parts Co. Inc.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Prime Automotive, based in Glendale, Queens County, operates 21 locations in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut areas. The company’s president, Robert Scheer, will continue to manage and oversee Prime Automotive’s daily operations and its roughly 160 staffers.
Hahn Automotive was founded here in 1958. The company employs more than 1,000 people at 20 distribution centers along the eastern seaboard and as far west as Indiana.
Hahn Automotive’s Eli Futerman–who shares both the CEO and president titles with Daniel Chessin–declined to discuss revenues but said they were extremely pleased to add Prime Automotive to Hahn Automotive’s family of companies.
