Travelhost enters local market

Travelhost of Rochester and the Finger Lakes Inc. late last month published its inaugural issue: a glossy 56-page magazine that focuses on Greater Rochester.
Travelhost Inc. publishes magazines in some 140 U.S. markets. The publication began as a hotel in-room magazine in 1967. In Rochester, the magazine is headed by Carol White Llewellyn, associate publisher.
A native of Auburn and graduate of St. John Fisher College, Llewellyn formerly was managing editor of the Journal of Advertising Research, a quarterly journal published by World Advertising Research Center Ltd.
“Travelhost is nationally recognized and has a long history of serving the traveler,” Llewellyn said. “My goal is to develop it into a resource that will inspire travelers to make multiple stops throughout the region, motivate visitors to return on multiple visits, encourage companies and associations to bring more meetings here and hopefully to be a catalyst prompting individuals and companies to move here and open businesses.”
