Performance Technologies Inc. has expanded its product offering to address growth in the voice over Internet protocol communications platforms and applications sector.
Customers are using the company’s new family of integrated media gateway platform elements to aid the convergence to all-IP voice and data networks.
The offering is a result of the company’s January acquisition of Mapletree Networks Inc., and its efforts to integrate the newly acquired voice and media processing technology.
“Acquiring Mapletree Networks has been strategically important for Performance Technologies, in that media and voice processing technology is central to many VOIP enhanced service offerings,†said Donald Turrell, CEO of Performance Technologies.
Combining voice and media processing products will allow the firm to generate additional sales opportunities for our integrated platform and component products, important elements of the growing market for VOIP and enhanced services solutions, Turrell said.
