IEC appoints Doody to VP post

IEC Electronics Corp. has named a new corporate vice president of operations.
Donald Doody succeeds Ann Wood, who resigned.
Doody most recently worked at Plexus Corp. where he was responsible for leading lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives. He started his career with GE Transportation and Industrial Systems.
Barry Gilbert, chairman and CEO of the Newark, Wayne County-based company, praised Wood’s accomplishments, noting she would serve as a consultant during the transition.
“Don brings solid experience and proven results to the company, and we look forward to his contributions,” Gilbert said. “Don’s demonstrated industry knowledge and leadership will help focus our efforts in ways that add the most value to our business.”
Doody has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from SUNY Buffalo and a master’s degree in industrial science from Colorado State University.
