Lan Sun has joined the engineering staff of Melles Griot Photonics Systems Group as senior optical engineer. Sun will be responsible for the conception and design of optical systems.

Barbara Kolb has joined Rotenberg & Company LLP, CPA’s and Business Consultants as staff accountant.

Tim Forster has joined Rochester Colonial Manufacturing as director of sales and marketing. Forster will oversee all sales and marketing activities for the company’s residential, builder, commercial and architectural custom wood products divisions.

Rotenberg & Company LLP announces the addition of Danielle Kitterman as staff accountant.

Mary Kay Bishop has been named vice president for institutional advancement and president of the Brockport College Foundation at SUNY College at Brockport. Most recently vice president for development at WXXI-TV/AM/FM, Bishop brings more than 12 years of fund-raising experience to the position.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Roch-ester, Syracuse and Binghamton has promoted Mike Radell to JobTech program specialist and Eric Perry to medical liaison, both in Rochester. Radell will be responsible for providing employment services to individuals in the JobTech program. Perry will provide counsel to consumers on medical-related questions and concerns.

Connors-Haas Inc. announces the promotion of Brian Haas to president of the firm and William Bauman to executive vice president. Connors-Haas, an electrical contractor, is based in Ontario, N.Y.

EM Cahill Co. Inc. has expanded to western New York and added William Cochran as sales engineer for the Roch-ester area. Cochran, of Fairport, has more than 20 years of experience in the industrial air handling and air pollution control industries.

Shanna Colls and Karl Weisenbeck have joined Northwestern Mutual’s Tyler Group as financial representatives. They will provide personal, business and estate planning at the firm.

Finger Lakes Community College has made the following faculty and staff appointments: Christopher McNamara, instructor of business; Kelli Prior, instructor of biology; Debra Schooley, financial aid counselor; Donald Streeks, instructor of business; Bernadine Ticonchuk, conservation technician; Amy Warcup, instructor of massage therapy; and Sarah Whiffen, director of student life and transition services.

Genesee Valley Trust Co. announces the promotion of Sharon Martin to manager of trust operations and the addition of Roberta Van Dussen as executive administrator. Martin is a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry.

ACC Business, a division of AT&T Corp., has promoted Duane Burnley to supervisor of customer care. Burnley will manage all inbound calls from subscribers and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the call center.

Mengel, Metzger, Barr & Co. announces that Mark Kovaleski has been named a principal in the firm. Kovaleski, of Pittsford, will work with multiple accounting and auditing clients, train and develop staff and cultivate business for the firm.
