ViaHealth CEO Thomas Litz has moved his office from Genesee Hospital to Rochester General Hospital.
The move is his second since coming to ViaHealth a little more than a year ago. His first was to Genesee after moving ViaHealth’s administration out of a newly built downtown headquarters.
The relocation Friday came some three weeks after ViaHealth–staggering under $2.5 million a month in red ink–officially closed Genesee’s doors. It comes 13 months after ViaHealth hired Litz to turn the financially ailing health system around.
Litz said in April that ViaHealth’s board had been forced to conclude that Genesee’s financial ills were terminal, and had authorized the hospital’s closure within 90 days.
