Linens ‘n Things profits up 20 percent

Linens ‘n Things Inc. today reported fourth-quarter net income of $34.5 million, or 84 cents a share, up 20.3 percent from $28.7 million, or 70 cents a share, the previous year. Net sales increased 19.6 percent to $495.6 million for the quarter ended Dec. 30, 2000.
