Jay named agency for new TV station

Jay Advertising Inc. has been selected as agency of record for the new Warner Brothers Television Network affiliate, WRWB-TV.
The agency will provide advertising, sales, promotion, media buying and public relations services to the new TV station. WRWB-TV is slated to launch in January.
“We are looking forward to working with Jay to help us launch the station in the Rochester market and establish our presence as an important part of the fabric of the Rochester community,” said Tish Robinson, general manager of WRWB-TV.
The account is a big win for the Rochester agency. Officials declined to disclose financial details of the agreement.
“The launch of a new major affiliate in Rochester is great for our community, particularly with the young demographics that this station’s programming will attract,” said Gregory Smith, president of Jay Advertising.
WRWB-TV is a part of Rochester Television Ventures LLC, a joint venture of the WB Television Network and Time Warner Cable.
Jay Advertising is part of the Interpublic Group Co. The agency reported $65.2 million in billings for 1999.
The agency manages provides advertising services for Time Warner Communications here; and in Raleigh, N.C., and Columbia, S.C.
