Monroe County Farms

Although the number of farms in Monroe County dropped by more than 200 from 1987 to 1997, the total economic impact of Monroe County farms in 1997 still was $144 million, according to the agriculture census done by New York State. Here is a snapshot of the agricultural sector in the county:
