Advertising and public relations agency Martino, Angora & Flynn LLC has undergone another major change– the second in less than a year.
Louis Angora, one of the firm’s four principals, left the agency last week. As a result, the firm has changed its name to Martino Flynn LLC.
“(Angora) left us to pursue personal goals,” said Raymond Martino, principal at the agency.
In January, Martino & Angora Inc. merged with the Flynn Agency.
Martino does not expect Angora’s departure to impact the agency and added it was an amiable parting.
Combined capitalized billings for the two agencies in 1996 was $10.3 million. The firm employs 16 people in its Roch- ester office.
Capitalized billings represent the amount of client money placed in media, with agencies’ revenues traditionally 15 percent of that.
Martino Flynn is expanding its operations. The agency last week said it has opened a full-service office in Dallas.
“We have opened the new office to serve recently acquired clients and to expand our client base in that region,” said Chris Flynn, agency principal.
The agency named Stephen Patterson as vice president of the Dallas operation. Patterson, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the advertising industry, will supervise operations, including client services and marketing.
Flynn said the agency plans to have 10 creative, production and account service staffers in place in Dallas by early 1998.
