As annual meetings go, Transmation’s Tuesday affair at the Hyatt was a virtual joke-fest.
The tone was set by John Murphy, chairman of the board at the process-control manufacturer, who quipped his way through the formal proceedings. Murphy was nearly upstaged by a crowd of rowdy Rotarians in the next room, who at one point broke into a heartfelt rendition of America the Beautiful.
Transmation President Bob Klimasewski later joked: “You see that choir I hired came in at just the right time.”
