Deborah K. Smith has joined Bausch & Lomb Inc. as senior vice president-human resources. Smith comes to B&L from Xerox Corp.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of the Rochester Area has named Emil Duda executive vice president and chief financial officer, and David Klein executive vice president and chief operating officer. The positions were created to more closely reflect the job responsibilities of Duda and Klein, who have each served as senior vice presidents since 1986.

Dr. Franklin Williams has been appointed distinguished physician as part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Distinguished Physician Program at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. Dr. Williams specializes in internal medicine and gerontology.

Glenn Chouinard P.E. and James Kent AICP have joined Clough, Harbour & Associates. Chouinard is responsible for overall traffic engineering, transportation planning and highway engineering. Kent brings 13 years of experience in the planning profession to the firm.

Paul Fenton M.D. has joined the Geneva General Hospital medical staff and the Geneva- based Interlakes Orthopedic Surgery practice. Most recently, Dr. Fenton was in private practice in Wyoming specializing in sports medicine.

Martino & Angora Inc. has named Jennifer Kozlowski administrative coordinator. She has several years’ experience working as an administrative professional.

Sharon Greisberger has been promoted to the position of assistant vice president in the trust and investment department of M&T Bank’s Rochester division. Greisberger has been with the bank since 1977.

CooperVision Inc. has announced the following promotions: Laurie Dodge, marketing administration manager; Donna Ernewein, MIS operations manager; Tom Hasenauer, associate product manager; Lorene Stimson, accounting manager; and Beverly Ward, director of finance.

Kathleen Dold has been appointed loan officer at Albion Federal Savings and Loan Association. Dold has more than 18 years of experience in mortgage operations including at Sibley Mortgage Corp. and Anchor Savings Bank FSB’s operations center in Albion.

William Holman has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Genesee Hospital. Holman previously was executive vice president and COO of Jefferson Hospital/ South Hills Health System in Pittsburgh. Genesee has also appointed Sarah Singal M.D. as assistant attending pathologist. She previously served at Park Ridge Hospital.

Cancer Action Inc. has appointed Brooks Barge as development manager. Barge was previously director of the capital campaign for GeVa Theatre.

M&T Bank has named Mark Warren as administrative vice president. He is responsible for oversight of legal issues in the bank’s commercial banking activities.

Ferronics Inc. has appointed Marianne Schrom as sales manager. Schrom joined Ferronics in 1979.

Karen Mungenast has joined Nynex Corp. as chief financial officer, Central New York. Mungenast resides in Penfield.

Steven Rooker has joined V-Med Inc. as imaging specialist. He has relocated to Rochester from California where he worked for Honeywell Inc.’s medical division.

Idea Connection Systems Inc. has appointed Roya Bauman as an account manager and Taylor Brown as a program developer.

Henry Gottfried has been appointed vice president of the Greater Rochester Metro Chamber of Commerce Inc. and executive vice president of the Chamber’s for-profit subsidiary Monroe Regional Services Inc. Previously, Gottfried was president of Javelin Associates Inc.

Jay Marchwinski has been appointed program administrator for clinical laboratory services at Strong Memorial Hospital. During the past 10 years, he has held consecutive positions as administrative laboratory director and then assistant vice president at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Gilman Perkins has joined Goodwin, Bartlett & Greaves-Tunnell Capital Management as senior executive responsible for sales and marketing. Perkins brings more than 40 years of marketing, sales and management experience to the firm.

Roberts Communications Inc. has hired Meghan Murphy and Missy Schenkel as account coordinators and Rick Cieply as account director working on the Xerox USCO account.

Gene Trotta has been named executive chef at City Grill restaurant. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.

East House has announced the following appointments: Gail Begley, vocational services supervisor; Sharry Habberfield, mental health counselor; Alison Sharpe, mental health counselor; and Reynaldo Torres, maintenance worker.

William C. Forster Corp. has promoted Sally Buck from graphic technician to account executive for the whole- sale graphics division. She has been with the company for two- and-a-half years.

Visual In-Seitz Inc. has added Jeffrey Leahy as a production assistant and has promoted Steve Wehner from production assistant to assistant producer.

Eastman Kodak Co. has named Ira Wolf as director, Japan relations, and vice president. He currently is assistant U.S. trade representative for Japan and China.

Jeffrey Luellen has acquired controlling interest in the Luellen Insurance Agency established by his grandfather in 1939. Luellen joined the agency in 1987 and currently holds the titles president and CEO.

F.F. Thompson Health System Inc. has named Deborah Weymouth as vice president of operations for the Thompson Nursing Home. Weymouth was most recently with Key Bank of New York as a vice president of commercial lending.

Genesee Brewing Co. Inc. has announced the following promotions in its sales and marketing organization: Neil Cummiskey, vice president, sales planning; Paul Rene, vice president, brand development; and Milton Eschrich, assistant vice president, packaging.
