Patrick Cusato has been named a partner with the law firm of Underberg & Kessler. He concentrates his practice in mortgage banking and commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Michael Mendola has joined Chamberlain, D’Amanda, Oppenheimer & Greenfield as an associate in the trial department. He will handle insurance and other defense matters at the firm.

PicturePhone Direct Inc. has named Roland Klietz as vice president of sales and marketing. He will be providing desktop videoconferencing solutions on a national level.

Kodak Imaging Services Inc. has appointed David Munn as chief financial officer of the Eastman Kodak Co. subsidiary. Munn has 14 years’ experience in general management, financial planning and analysis, and operational accounting.

AT&T Co. has appointed Valerie Micklus as branch manager-sales for its global services organization in the Upstate New York area. She will serve the Albany, Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo sales territory.

Carol LiPani has joined WXXI’s development division as director of planned giving and major gifts. LiPani has worked with a number of non-profit organizations including the Strong Children’s Medical Center.

Diane Pascutoi Esq. has been retained as in-house consultant for legal services for the Genesee Hospital. She continues as an associate in the health services department of Harris, Beach & Wilcox. Also at Genesee, Bonnie McCarthy has been promoted to assistant to the president and CEO Joseph DeSilva who has been named president of the Genesee Hospital Foundation; and Stewart Epstein has joined the hospital’s continuing day treatment program as a therapist.

O’Brien & Gere Engineers Inc. has appointed John Gebrian as a managing scientist. Gebrian brings more than 20 years’ experience as an environmental manager with industry and in the consulting business.

Jack Olivier has been appointed senior director, network development and administration for Strong Memorial Hospital. Olivier joined Strong in 1987 as senior director for patient care programs.

Dr. Virginia Bergin has been appointed state director of operations for the Independence Party of New York. She previously served for four years as the elected party secretary of the Republican Party in Monroe County.

Bergmann Associates announces the following appointments: Jeffrey Volpe, GIS specialist, transportation group; Mary Rita Motala, secretary, transportation group; Andy Petrosky, intern architect; and John van Kerkhove, systems programmer/analyst.

Caroline Adams has been named public affairs director for WUHF-TV Fox 31. Adams’ past business affiliations include McCurdy & Co. Inc., Eastman Kodak Co. and WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.
