Rochester Community Individual Practice Association has awarded grants totaling $40,000 to Foodlink and Flower City Habitat for Humanity.
Lifetime Assistance Inc., a provider of programs and services to more than 900 individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, has been awarded a $120,000 challenge grant from the Kresge Foundation in support of the capital campaign to fund the construction of a day treatment facility in Brockport.
Hillside Children’s Center has received a $3,972 grant from the Gannett Foundation to replace furniture in its Monroe Avenue cottages.
The Monroe County Waste Haulers Association is partnering with Volunteers of America to help the less fortunate in the Rochester community and protect the environment.
Volunteers of America received $66,000 in donations from community residents and businesses during its annual “8 Caring Gifts” campaign. Overall, the Volunteers of America has raised more than $610,000 to help the less fortunate in the Rochester area during the eight years that the non-profit agency has conducted the campaign.
David Flaum, chairman of Camp Good Days and Special Times’ first-ever capital improvement campaign committee, and Gary Mervic, Camp Good Days chairman and founder, announced that a little over $325,000 has been raised to date, nearing the established goal of $410,000 for completion of the proposed Pavia Pavilion.
