Hunt Real Estate ERA Columbus Division announced Friday a merger with Brown Dog Realty, a specialized real estate group focused on serving the area’s first responders. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Led by licensed broker Syed Ahmed Mustafa, the real estate sales associates with Brown Dog Realty have been serving the area’s police officers, firefighters, EMTs/paramedics and other health care professionals for three years. They will be part of Hunt’s Webster branch.
Mustafa is a lieutenant in a local fire department and serves as a paramedic and board vice-president of the Northeast Quadrant Advanced Life Support. Mustafa has an undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, and he received his MBA from the Simon School of Business.
“I am thrilled to have Brown Dog Realty join the Hunt organization, which will allow us to combine our high level of customer service with the vast resources that Hunt has to offer,” he said.
Brown Dog Realty donates at least $100 from every real estate transaction to a fire, EMS or police agency in the area where they complete the real estate deal. This practice will continue.
Mustafa co-founded Brown Dog Realty in 2010 with his wife, Karen.
Hunt Real Estate Corp. is the parent company of Hunt Real Estate ERA, which has more than 35 branches in New York, Western Pennsylvania and Phoenix.
